Indonesian Food and Beverage Association:

Indonesia, the biggest ASEAN country and the most important Halal certification enforcer in the region, is committed to the health and well-being of its consumers. Pay attention because this country wants the highest nutritional value for its food and beverage products, and is implementing stringent laws with regard to reduction of sugars, sodium, and other harmful ingredients.

There is no simple answer how to navigate such difficult, yet promising market, but GAPMMI has undertaken on itself the task of  encouraging the F&B industry players, including MSMEs, to make use of modern technology, updating their knowledge and supporting their development on Indonesian market.

Ir. Adhi Lukman - Chairman

Recognized internationally as an authority on the food industry, Adhi Lukman is the current Chairman of GAPMMI, the Indonesian Food & Beverages Association. Founded in 1976, the organization champions the interests of the food and beverage industry in Indonesia, as well as ensures the provision of healthy food products, and strengthens the ability of its members in the fields of food safety, processing, health, and nutrition.

In addition to his role with GAPMMI, Adhi Lukman works with several organizations, such as: Chairman of Permanent Committee for Development of Food Industry, Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KADIN), Coordinator Industrial and Government Relationship Division of The Indonesian Association of Food Technologist (PATPI), Ministry of Development Planning and others.
Indonesian Nutrition Association:

When food manufacturers seek a claim for the benefits of their food products and/or nutrition supplements, they know it can be a long and arduous process to get the necessary approvals. Of course, it is well understood, because decision making for any claim should be based on current available scientific evidence. In this area, the Indonesian Nutrition Association consists of a group of clinical and medical nutrition physicians who can assist companies with verification of their health claims through scientific evidence-based nutrition (EBN). Their clinical research, peer-reviewed articles and other publications, modules, and publication in international journals can support proving scientific benefits of used ingredients.
